As of now none of the pango ebuilds in the tree support modular X ebuilds - they all require virtual/x11.

Please don't start posting multiple bugs telling us to do something we already
know about and not include patches. We are working on modular x deps and are
aware of what packages need to be changed

Reading the pango README (dependency section) and trying out, libXrender seems 
to be sufficient for pango.
