Bug 109890 – kdeaddons 3.5.0_beta2 ebuild compilation failure related to SDL

Compilation of the kdeaddons-3.5.0_beta2 ebuild fails with:

checking for SDL - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** Could not run SDL test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means SDL was incorrectly installed
*** or that you have moved SDL since it was installed. In the latter case, you
*** may want to edit the sdl-config script: /usr/bin/sdl-config
configure: error: --with-sdl was given, but test for SDL failed

!!! ERROR: kde-base/kdeaddons-3.5.0_beta2 failed.

However, I have SDL installed:

# emerge -pv libsdl

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

1. Edit /etc/portage/package.unmask and allow kdeaddons 3.5.0_beta2 (for example
with a rule: >=kde-base/kdeaddons-3.5_alpha1 )
2. emerge kdeaddons

I re-emerge libsdl and then it worked:

checking for SDL - version >= 1.2.0... yes
