Bug 108533

Summary: mysqld - One extra space in console screen during boot
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Mark Knecht <markknecht>
Component: Current packagesAssignee: Gentoo Linux MySQL bugs team <mysql-bugs>
Status: RESOLVED INVALID
Severity: trivial
Priority: High
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Mark Knecht 2005-10-08 13:39:40 UTC
A complete trivial nit, I know, but when booting my MythTV server, when
/etc/init.dmysqld is being started, there is an extra space in the message where
it says '[OK]'. This causes the last ']' character to be written on a new line.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot with mysqld started as part of default.

Actual Results:
As above

Expected Results:
All '[OK]' outputs should line up on the right hand side of the screen.

sorry for the late answer,

looks like a terminal problem,
some terminals does'nt work well with backspaces at the end of the line.
linux, putty, xterm should work well with this.

cheers
