I just got R 2.2.0 up and running from the source archives. It was marked stable
today, I think.

It's not even in portage, how can we mark it stable?!

Oooppppsss! I meant to say "R 2.2.0" is stable upstream in the CRAN repositories
and should be put in the Portage tree". Ah well ... I can live with 2.1.1 for a
few more days.
