Trash needs write permission in its install directory in order to change icons.
This is a problem. pkg_postinst now shows a message telling the user to copy
the app to a $USER/Apps directory to allow this functionality. Otherwise, in a
single user environment, the user can change permissions of the
/usr/lib/rox/Trash Application directory to W for him/her. This, of course, is
to be discouraged. Author has been contacted and perhaps an automatic
workaround for this will be forthcoming such as a warning message or option to
copy...
6 months no action. I'm not a dev, so can't fix. DEAD |
