Interesting..the results of this patch shouldn't be that drastic. Post your 'emerge info' and attach xorg.conf please. Which games cause this specifically? I haven't been able to reproduce with crack-attack. I do have different hardware of course... Created attachment 69906 [details]

I get crash in glxgears and cube I don't play other games. What version of cube? I'll test here. cube-20050829 I can't reproduce this at all. Do you have another machine you can ssh in with after the apparent crash? Sorry, I completely forgot to check/add: I'm using the i810 driver, which may mean the radeon driver is the culprit, especially since it has had a large number of changes made to it. Personally I would move this upstream only if the problem persists after the rc1 release (hopefully soon), especially if you can just omit the patch for the time being... I don't have another machine :( I will wait for next release. I will omit the patch for the time being. Thank you. Please re-open this bug if the problem persists in rc1. |
