hello. can you post: 1. the version of sodipodi you're using 2. the output of running the following: emerge info thanks. nall. Below are sodipodi version and emerge info from my gentoo-ppc install. If you'd like the output from my gentoo-x86 install, let me know. Sodipodi dies on both with the same error. not sure you care, but the window manager is fluxbox on both also, instead of gnome. ********************************************** sodipodi --version Gnome sodipodi 0.27 ********************************************** gath root # emerge info Portage 2.0.44 (default-ppc-1.4, gcc-3.2, glibc-2.2.5-r7) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.20-r1 ppc USE="oss dvd xv libwww jpeg nls mitshm gif sdl gnome qt kde png truetype ppc gnome-libs gdbm berkdb slang readline tcltk java guile X gpm tcpd pam ssl perl python esd imlib oggvorbis gtk motif opengl mozilla" ARCH="ppc" COMPILER="gcc3" CHOST="powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O3 -pipe -mcpu=750 -mpowerpc-gfxopt -fsigned-char" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -pipe -mcpu=750 -mpowerpc-gfxopt -fsigned-char" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="ppc" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/share/config /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" MAKEOPTS="-j2" JDK_HOME="/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.3.1" JAVA_HOME="/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.3.1" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" where do i find the Properties->Text menu? i have some text but it's not obvious to me where to find "Properties". hmmm. this functionality works fine for me. maybe a library problem? can you send the output of: ldd /usr/bin/sodipodi maybe that will shed some light. also, a stack trace would be useful. thanks. nall. user says this is fixed for him in the sodipodi CVS tree (0.28pre). he also didn't have gnome-base installed which he think accounts for some of his problems. closing this as not a bug. |
