New version 0.14_pre, plus updates to the current
This is just an upgrade as a new pre version of drwright has been delivered
there is an ebuild reflecting that change in the ~x86 category, while the other
ebuild remained relatively the same.

New version update
This is the new version update, sorry I haven't kept up with this bug. This
one seems to compile and install fine. Let me know if anyone has any problems.
A nice little bug fix would be to grab the Icon from Drwright and add that in,
I haven't had the time or inclination to fix that.
I sent my ebuild with some add for the docs Created attachment 11893 [details]

The latest ebuild
this looks good except you should not depend on the gnome-base/gnome meta package. just wondering what category this should be in. workrave which is similar is in app-misc. We could put it in gnome-extra or x11-misc. what do you think about? I remove the dependency of gnome-base/gnome-2.2.0 Created attachment 11976 [details]
dependency on gnome-base/gnome removed following last comment
Thanks for the tip about dependancies on meta packages! I think I had it in gnome-extra, seeemed like a good place. Xwrits, which is what this is based off of is in x11-misc it didn't seem appropriate for DrWright since this is a GTK+ app. app-misc wouldn't be a bad place for now I suppose, but my understanding from Richard Hult, the maintainer, is that DrWright OR Workrave may be included in future versions of GNOME as part of the core packages, whichever one is taken I would think should move to gnome-extra and maybe the other stay in app-misc. Or maybe they should both be in gnome-extra since they are both GTK+ apps with the possibility of being in core GNOME dist. what do you guys think? I think the dependancies finally look good right now, I'm working on the next version of DrWright with rhult which should be more HIG compliant, using a "Postpone" button instead of an unlock. When that's released I think we should just be able to bump the version number up and be good to go. I'm OK with gnome-extra. if the package is merge in gnome-base (not until gnome 2.4 I think), it will be moved. is it going into gnome 2.4, i wasn't aware of that ? in that case i don't really see the point in adding it to the tree for the few months left, a bit the same as with the sticky notes applet. workrave should not go into gnome-extra, it's not a gnome app. With this one i guess gnome-extra would do. ok, i can confirm that this is still undecided for gnome 2.4 release, but i don't think it is going to be included into gnome-applets in the short term. i've added this to gnome-extra because it is a gnome applet and because it is a gnome-app. i didn't think app-misc or x11-misc was a good category for this particular package. |
