What I'm not sure of, if can we add this no_fixpath to global qmake.conf. But if thats works and it want damage anything else - maybe this would be a good global solution. Currently this isn't a only bug with acces violation on qt settings dir. One more example is here : http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72545 and isn't last one (everyone of them is caused by using a nonstandard portage destdir.
