It isn't. It's hard masked. $ grep -C1 vmware /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask # This is beta code and is only of interest for testers =app-emulation/vmware-workstation-5.5.0.16325 http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/app-emulation/vmware-workstation/vmware-workstation-5.5.0.16325.ebuild?rev=1.1&view=markup By parts: 1- You fail to explain the problem. It is working for alot of persons. 2- I have no idea where you fail to see the nofetch 3- It is beta, as has been pointed out it is hardmasked. And it actually is not that slow, maybe you have other problems on your system. I am abble to run fedora core 4 as a guest os and get around 400 fps in glxgers. There is one issue that should be fixed, it is the fact that the keywords are x86 and amd64. Even in the circunstance where a package is hardmasked it should be ~x86 and ~amd64. Next time Dan please report your bugs better. |
