Bug 106086 – liboil doesn't build: glibc detected *** double free or corruption

When emerging liboil I get this error.  I can't find any similar bugs on liboil,
but I do find the glibc "double free or corruption" when I search on it. 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge liboil
2.
3.

Actual Results:

not a bug in liboil

Reopen if you can reproduce the problem w/ >=liboil-0.3.6-r1 and current stable gcc and glibc.
