emerge --emptytree system fails during the build of automake-1.85-r3 with:
autoconf-2.58 or better is required
Happened 10.09.2005 with portage snapshot 20050908

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.download and burn life-cd
2.boot CD
3.download and unpack stage1 and portage snapshot
4.run bootstrap.sh
5.run emerge --emptytree system

Actual Results:  
system isn't installable

Expected Results:  
system should be installable, autoconf-2.58 or better should be installed BEFORE
automake-1.85-r3
