BTW, the spool file issue has been fixed, the symptom remains hi, I did another test, I merged a previous version of ion3 (ion3-20050625) but got the same error: <ericd@p0lux>~ % startx X Window System Version 6.8.2 Release Date: 9 February 2005 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 6.8.2 Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.11-gentoo-r9CifOS-Powered i686 [ELF] Current Operating System: Linux p0lux 2.6.13-gentoo #1 SMP Thu Sep 8 19:43:23 IST 2005 i686 Build Date: 06 September 2005 Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.X.Org to make sure that you have the latest version. No composite extension >> [440] X_GrabKey (33) 0x5e: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied) waiting for X server to shut down Hi, ion2 is works. Looks like ion3 is the problem. Regards, Are you trying to use ion3 with GNOME, another environment or just by itself? How are you starting ion3? Is your ion3 customized or are you using the default configuration? (If you update ion3, don't forget to etc-update /etc/X11/ion3) Just looking for a bit more information. Does the problem persist with the current version of ion3 in portage? Do you still have this problem with the latest version of ion3? If no response, I'll close this bug. No response from original submitter. It might well have been a problem in his configuration files; trying to bind the same key to two different functions. Please re-open if the bug occurs again! |
