My reiserfs has been corrupted. I have had to rebuild journal tree, boot from
LiveCD, untar stage1-amd64-2005.0.tar.bz2, and recompile the system.
#bootstrap.sh script was unmerging vital packages, but I took packge list
from it and emerged it by hand. Now autoconf-2.59-r7 fails to emerge on
emerge -e system.

You have a pretty borked system, do a clean install. We cannot really debug a
system in undefined state, like w/ two versions of glibc and linux-headers
"installed" etc.
