both the genkernel and my own kernels land on this message a meere second or so
after boot.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot genkernel/otherkernel from grub with ANY options (noacpi acpi=off noapm
nodma noscsi nosmp) or no options.
2. sit back and wait
3. presto

Actual Results:

Expected Results:  
booted and showed me a nice login prompt

The computer is a laptop (Medion MID2020) with a pentium m 4 2,8ghz cpu, 512mb
ram, sis650 gfx. Haven't really emerged anything yet. Compiled with O2 optimz.
I have absolutely no idea what is going on.

my other computer is also a gentoo system (this one), and it works just fine.
It has to be some kind of hardware-related software thing ;P

Which kernel version is this?
Please post "emerge --info" output.
