In sys-apps/gawk/gawk-3.1.4-r4.ebuild, line 29 fails: cp -pPR "${FILESDIR}"/filefuncs "${SFFS}"/ || die "cp failed" saying directory filefuncs not created. $SFFS expands to "$WORKDIR/filefuncs", so cp was looking for directory $WORKDIR/filefuncs to copy the $FILESDIR/filefuncs INTO. I changed it to: cp -pPR "${FILESDIR}"/filefuncs "${SFFS}" || die "cp failed" And it creates $SFFS normally. Thank you.
