Ebuild for pptp-rk-1.1.0 *updated*
Removed superflous [is that a word?](as in unnecessary) dependency; ncurses.
The previous ebuild is obsolete, but I couldn't change it.

*UPDATE* ebuild file
The previous two ebuild are obsolete, but I can't mark them obsolete as I'm not
authorized.
this is only a patch for pptp (called pptpclient in gentoo). i think it would be nicer to integrate this into the pptp-ebuild, or is there anything i disregarded? **This is _NO_ patch. The source file has _already_ been patched !! ** I couldn't find the patch seperate, so I chose to submit an ebuild for this entire program. The source file is _already_ patched, so I don't see a way of adding it to the pptpclient. The way processes are called is the 'wrong way round', this has as advantage that ppp tools can be used for the pptp connection. Also it supports giving a "phone-number" to the line, which is required for the dutch adsl variant. I have contacted the author about this, but I'm still awaiting his reply. As far as I know, the pptpclient package can't be used by kpnadsl4linux. **This is _NO_ patch. The source file has _already_ been patched !! ** Ps. Now I come to think of it, it might be possible to diff the sources and in that way find out which changes are made, but I have no programming background. I only had enough common sense to hack this ebuild together and make some very small changes in the source. I have just received his reply on my mail from the author, too bad I waited so long for contacting him. All the patches he made are merged with pptpclient. Pptp(client) 1.1 has the needed features included, and the efficiency patches are in cvs currently named 1.2_RC1 (or 1.2 beta). So never mind this bug, I'm sorry for all your energy. Sam Besselink |
