Attachments: lcdproc source that came with the VFD's sw bundle

Description Nes Yarug 2005-08-31 08:44:44 UTC
Bundled with my PC case came a USB VFD display (and IR transceiver) of type
Animo USB Controller. This was packaged by Uneed (now Origen AE).

I believe this type of VFD is not yet supported by lcdproc as I cannot get it
configured. I have compiled USBLCD as a kernel module and tried several LCDd
configurations, to no avail.

In the case's software bundle was the source of lcdproc, adapted (I believe) for
the IRTrans USB controller. A sample LCDd.conf file is also included. I tried to
build and install it, but my knowledge on this topic is too limited and couldn't
make it work. I have attached the source.

Is it possible to adapt the ebuild to include the irtrans driver?

Can you retry with 0.5.0 (which is in tree now) and report if it works for you?

I have repurposed that box now, but I'll try to verify the ebuild at my first opportunity. Thanks.
