i forgot to add that i have openal installed BARTEK conf.d # emerge -pv openal These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild R ] media-libs/openal-20050504-r1 +alsa -arts -debug -esd +mpeg +oggvorbis +sdl 0 kB Total size of downloads: 0 kB Games bugs are *never* a blocker. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/games/index.xml#doc_chap5_sect4 Attach the config.log file as text/plain and reopen please. where do I find config.log ? now I have the same error when emerging glest but yesterday glest emerged without problem checking for OpenAL... not found configure: error: Please intall OpenAL !!! ERROR: games-strategy/glest-1.1.0 failed. !!! Function egamesconf, Line 64, Exitcode 1 !!! egamesconf failed !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message. not surprising; you probably need to remerge a package supplying a library. The config.log file is in the build directory. Attach it here as text/plain. Created attachment 66593 [details]
