Hi is it possible to add an ebuild fetcher and digester feature in the next portage?

for example:

fetchEbuild =packag-version-release will the ebuild from viewcvs.gentoo.org then
it will digest the ebuilds as well.

this feature would help solve dependencies when emerging binary package that are
missing ebuilds.

nothing to do (directly) with gentoo infrastructure.  not sure if this is a
portage request, either, though it seems to be...letting bug-wranglers decide.

I'm not really sure how this would solve dependencies for binary packages that
are missing an ebuild.

ebuild /path/to/some-category/some.ebuild digest

creates digest for any ebuild.

Is this what you want? If not, then please clarify better.
