Description Ludovic Fauvet 2005-08-20 13:22:37 UTC
The ebuilds acx100-0.2.0_pre8-r6 and acx100-0.2.4 aren't working well with cards
like dwl-520+, dwl-g650+, ...
The driver compile fine, and can be loaded. The wireless card is detected but it
can't be associated with an access point in managed mode.
I've tried the acx100-0.2.0_pre8-r6 with fix version 52 and it work with minor
problems.

As you can see here,
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=browse&group_id=75380&atid=543745
there is some problems reported about this problem, but with still no response.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge acx100
2. load the driver (acx_pci)
3. /etc/init.d/net.wlan0 start

Actual Results:
rc-scripts: Failed to configure wireless for wlan0

Expected Results:
The card should be associated with the access point.

I've seen your bug filed upstream and honestly all I can say is that's the best
place to persue this. Because I'm not familiar with the acx100 codebase and this
is really an issue there. The upstream devs are best handled to fix this issue
since it's a non Gentoo issue.
