Bug 103023 – File-4.15 wont compile because it thinks my time is wrong

doing an emerge -upDv world and it stops at sys-apps/file-4.15 with the error
"configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files!".

date gives me the correct time and date: george@othello ~ $ date
Thu Aug 18 01:07:04 BST 2005

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge file (emerge -u world)

Actual Results:  
compile fail:

checking whether build environment is sane... configure: error: newly created
file is older than distributed files!
Check your system clock

Expected Results:  
install and move on to the next package

Works fine here. Either you time or your timezone are set incorrectly. Fix your
system clock.
