I see this from time to time as well. After reemerging xmms-mpg123 it worked for some time, but then stopped working again. Remerging mpg123 has no noticeable effect for me whatsoever. I am seeing the same problem. If it does play any stream it plays for 2-3 secs and then hangs and chewing 100% cpu. Re-emerging xmms-mpg123 has no effect whatsoever. Upstream version of xmms doesnt have that problem. Not sure if this is helpfull but I see the following message fill up whenever I try to use xmms to play any streaming urls. ** WARNING **:: ctrl_write_packet (): Failed to send data: Bad file descriptor The console is full of this messages till i stop xmms from connectiong to the streaming url. Disabling the mad plugin allows streaming to work. Seems like a problem with mad plugin. |
