I'm not sure a cvs ebuild would be terribly useful, since the cvs version of evince had depended on cvs versions of other packages at various points in the past, and I see no reason why this would change in the future. At the very least, we would have needed cvs versions of djvu, poppler, and dbus. This would likely balloon into a huge number of CVS ebuilds. In addition, evince releases often enough (and their releases so far have not depended on anything CVS) that I personally don't feel the need for a faster version. All this just means that I won't maintain a cvs evince ebuild, but someone else is free to if they so desire. Newer ebuild is in portage, and we don't see any need to provide a cvs ebuild (see the ebuild docs on why we don't provide live cvs ebuilds), or a snapshot when the releases are fairly frequent. |
