Could someone please provide an ebuild for Evince that downloads (checks out)
the (updated) CVS each time evince is emerged, and builds (and installs) evince
from this? The most current ebuild I see in Portage is 0.3.2, but it would be
nice (since Evince is still in its early stages of development) to be constantly
updating Evince.

I'm not sure a cvs ebuild would be terribly useful, since the cvs version of
evince had depended on cvs versions of other packages at various points in the
past, and I see no reason why this would change in the future. At the very
least, we would have needed cvs versions of djvu, poppler, and dbus. This would
likely balloon into a huge number of CVS ebuilds.

In addition, evince releases often enough (and their releases so far have not
depended on anything CVS) that I personally don't feel the need for a faster
version. All this just means that I won't maintain a cvs evince ebuild, but
someone else is free to if they so desire.

Newer ebuild is in portage, and we don't see any need to provide a cvs ebuild
(see the ebuild docs on why we don't provide live cvs ebuilds), or a snapshot
when the releases are fairly frequent.
