Description Samuel Greenfeld 2002-11-03 17:10:53 UTC
The recent KDE issues have shown emake (ebuild?) to possibly be overflowing a
value, or otherwise doing something silly while calculating line numbers.

The following comes froms a failed build of kdebase-3.0.4:

-----------------------
i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../..
-I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/kde/3/include -I/usr/qt/3/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_REENTRANT -DNDEBUG -O2
-mcpu=athlon-xp -march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -c xftlex-kfi.c -fPIC -DPIC -o
.libs/xftlex-kfi.o

As can be guessed, -6662 is not a valid line number.

has to do with eclass inheritance
Comment 2 Andrew Cooks (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-06 03:42:39 UTC
This bug has died from old age. ;)

If it's still relevant, please reopen and advise.
