Description Corin Goodier 2005-08-05 12:54:42 UTC
When running an emerge -u world to upgrade, version 2.12.2 was needed. The
Manifest file had errors for the size of the ebuild files and the md5sums of
the same files.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -puD world
2.emerge -fuD world (first occurance during file download and verification)
3.emerge -u orbit

Actual Results:
Manifest errors on all 3 ebuild files orbit-2.12.x.ebuild

Expected Results:
A successful ebuild of orbit!

I just checked all the md5's of the downloaded packages against whats in the
Manifest, and they all match. Could you provide a build log? Have you tried
changing mirrors?
Comment 2 Corin Goodier 2005-08-06 05:48:58 UTC
It compiled fine on my AMD64 server but not on the G3 Mac. And I emerge sync to
my server then use that as an rsync server for my other machines...

I'll grab the build log if I can find it...

Hmm, couldn't find that but I copied the Manifest file off the AMD64 machine and
rebuilt orbit and it worked.

Could this be a sync issue instead maybe? Problem with 'emerge sync' on Macs?
Comment 3 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-15 14:26:17 UTC
probably just a local issue with that machine, or the mirror that you are using.
