(In reply to comment #2) > I just checked, I did not run out of memory. plenty available That's not really useful to check now, you'd need to check when compiling. :) I did, i ran the compile while keeping an eye on top. it doesn't take long for the error to pop up (In reply to comment #0) > When trying to emerge fluxbox the compile fails telling me to report it to here > Reproducible: Always > Steps to Reproduce: > 1.emerge fluxbox -ptv > 2.emerge fluxbox > 3. > Actual Results: > i386-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I./FbTk -O2 - mcpu=i686 - > fomit-frame-pointer -DSHAPE -c -o Screen.o `test -f Screen.cc || > echo './'`Screen.cc > i386-pc-linux-gnu-g++: Internal error: Killed (program cc1plus) > Please submit a full bug report. > See <URL:http://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions. > make[4]: *** [fluxbox.o] Error 1 > make[4]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... > make[4]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/fluxbox-0.9.13-r1/work/fluxbox- > 0.9.13/src' > make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/fluxbox-0.9.13-r1/work/fluxbox- > 0.9.13/src' > make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 > make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/fluxbox-0.9.13-r1/work/fluxbox- > 0.9.13/src' > make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/fluxbox-0.9.13-r1/work/fluxbox- > 0.9.13' > make: *** [all] Error 2 > Expected Results: > install fluxbox... > Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5, glibc-2.3.4.20040808- > r1, 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 i686) > ================================================================= > System uname: 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 i686 Pentium II (Deschutes) > Gentoo Base System version 1.6.13 > Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.4-r1 [2.3.4 (#1, Mar 10 2005, > 20:47:05)] > dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1 > sys-apps/sandbox: [Not Present] > sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r6, 2.13 > sys-devel/automake: 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.5, 1.4_p6, 1.6.3, 1.9.4 > sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r1 > sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.10-r4 > virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r2 > ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" > AUTOCLEAN="yes" > CFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer" > CHOST="i386-pc-linux-gnu" > CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X1 > 1/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" > CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" > CXXFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer" > DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" > FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" > GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.osuosl.org/" > MAKEOPTS="-j2" > PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" > PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" > PORTDIR="/usr/portage" > SYNC="rsync://rsync.namerica.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" > USE="x86 X alsa apm arts avi berkdb bitmap-fonts crypt cups emboss encode > foomaticdb fortran gdbm gif gnome gpm gtk gtk2 imlib ipv6 jpeg kde libg++ > libwww mad mikmod motif mp3 mpeg ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib > perl png python qt quicktime readline sdl spell ssl tcpd truetype truetype- > fonts type1-fonts xml2 xmms xv zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" > Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, > PORTDIR_OVERLAY (In reply to comment #3) > (In reply to comment #2) > > I just checked, I did not run out of memory. plenty available > That's not really useful to check now, you'd need to check when compiling. :) |
