Description Milan Berger 2005-08-05 03:24:56 UTC
Hello there,

attached you can find a new ebuild. It's for the gnopaste submitter, a simple
but powerful perlscript to send STDIN odr STDOUT to http://www.nopaste.info a
free nopaste script and service. You will get an nopaste url as output you can
give to others.

gnopaster -h gives more information about using gnopaster.

I suggest dev-utils/gnopaster.

Milan Berger

nice tool
Comment 3 mike 2005-08-05 04:48:27 UTC
it's to have a tool posting sources and things into nopaste.info without having
to change to a browser window.

glad to have it :)

I just wanted to test this ebuild, but when building the digest it cannot find
the src-file:

Did a version bump cause this?
Comment 6 Jan Simons 2005-08-21 16:54:00 UTC
At the moment it looks like http://nopaste.info/ is down completly, so it's
quite obvious why it cannot find the file.
Comment 7 Ciaran McCreesh 2005-08-24 10:09:25 UTC
Please fix the following and reopen:

* Your indenting is incorrect (should use tabs)
* RDEPEND is wrong.
Comment 8 Milan Berger 2005-08-25 12:18:29 UTC
Hello everybody,

I'm very sorry but we have had problems with our provider and some HDD crash on
our server. In the future we will have an backupserver so problems like these
will never happen again.

Comment 10 Sérgio Luís 2006-07-01 02:49:49 UTC
We already have app-text/nopaste, do we need another script?

And btw, it should go to app-text not dev-util.

This ebuild here waits since a long time...
IMHO longer than this nopaste exists and it's for quite
an different service a service which offers his nopastescript
for download.

Thanks
Comment 16 Thomas 'mosez' Boerger 2007-04-23 20:36:17 UTC
What's wrong with gnopaster? We are waiting for two years to get into the tree and other nopaste submitter get into the tree within a few months?

There must be something wrong...
Comment 17 Jurek Bartuszek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-24 10:45:10 UTC
Fixed in CVS, thanks
Comment 18 David Moes 2007-04-24 10:48:30 UTC
Hello,

I use since 2004 gnopaste.
But why can't I find it in the portage tree?
I find a rip of gnopaste in the portage tree but not the orginal gnopaste,
it seems to be a bad joke..

Something goes wrong here.

regards, David Moes.
Comment 19 Milan Berger 2007-04-24 12:43:26 UTC
Thanks for assigning but you have changed 2 things in the ebuild and broke it:

You changed
SRC_URI="mirror://sourceforge/gnopaste/${P}.pl.gz" to
SRC_URI="mirror://sourceforge/${PN}/${P}.pl.gz" now gnopaster can't be downloaded.

And please assign all arches, cause it's a perl script working on every arch, thanks in advance.
Comment 20 Jurek Bartuszek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-25 20:32:01 UTC
Yeah, I've already undone those changes. However, there are more problems with this script (see bug #175941), feel free to help. Do not reopen this bug since the ebuild is already in the tree.
