Skype works _nearly_ perfectly on my KDE box : I must keep an eye on my screen
to answer calls because no ring tone alerts me.

Changing language in Skype is useless : the default language (english) stays.

Actual Results:  

This is due to the fact that sound and lang directories (in /opt/skype/) should
be in /usr/share/skype.

Symlinking manually did the trick, but I don't have time to enhance the ebuild.
Workaround : 
mkdir /usr/share/skype
ln -s /opt/skype/sound/ /usr/share/skype/
ln -s /opt/skype/lang /usr/share/skype/
