what opengl do you use ? nvidia or ati or xorg ? can you run: rm -r ~/.wine strace -f -o logfile wine and then post the logfile *as an attachment* Created attachment 64673 [details]

you have wine installed in /usr/local that means you're not using the Gentoo ebuilds --> not supported I'm so sorry for losing yr. time... Well, it was an old manual installation (that i did when things started to go wrong)... Uninstalled it and, of course, everything as ok.
