The Kochi fonts are created by Yasuyuki Furukawa <yasu@on.cs.keio.ac.jp>
and can be found at http://www.on.cs.keio.ac.jp/~yasu/jp_fonts.html

Explanation:

  The Kochi Gothic and Mincho fonts are based on the Wadalab
  Gothic and Mincho Ghostscript fonts, which have been released 
  under following license:

      If you as an individual use the distribution as font as
      such, or convert it, there is no necessity to inform
      the Wadalab group. But in case you redistribute it, we
      request you kindly to forward a note to ftp.ipl.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp
      with the additional information of what has been altered.
      At that location we also plan to store the upgrade,
      to give the user the possibility to receive always
      the latest version.
      
      In case you want to point out mistakes in the outline
      of Kanjis or are not satisfied with the poor design,
      please do not hesitate to contact tanaka@ipl.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp

  
  However, Mr. Furukawa used bitmap hinting information from
  the naga10, shinonome, tachibana k14, and kappa20 fonts to
  derive these TrueType fonts from the original Wadalab fonts.
  Mr. Furukawa made this derivation available under the same
  license as the original Wadalab fonts (see above). The 
  shinonome, tachibana k14, and kappa20 fonts are also all
  made available under "as-is" licenses.

  However, the license for naga10 is more restrictive:

      Copyright and Terms of Usage

      This font is freeware. The author, Nagao Sadakazu owns
      the copyright of all the data in this archive. If you
      use it, please make note of the floowing conditions:

      1. The author does not take responsibility for any 
         problems that may be caused by this font.
      2. There are no restrictions on the non-profit use
         and distribution of this font (however, it would
         be nice if you would clearly note "Uses the Naga 
         10 font").
      3. Although starting with this version the for-profit
         use of this font is permiited, please consult with
         the author if you plan to do this.

      Distribution and Reproduction

      1. Unless you modify this archive, you may freely
         redistribute it. Distribution of the font files 
         without the accompanying documentation is forbidden.
      2. If you wish to distribute these fonts in a form
         other than BDF, please adhere to the following
         conditions:

         (1) You must include the original README file.
         (2) The same terms of usage and conditions on
             distribution must apply to the derived work.
         (3) Notice of the terms referred to in (2) must
             be distributed in some form.
      3. Distribution in printed form, via CD-ROM, etc.
