Description Stephen Guerrera 2005-07-12 19:43:24 UTC
The gaim-remote plugin seems to be not working in gaim-1.3.1. The plugin loads
as normal, however, from the command line, if you execute

>gaim-remote uri 'aim:goim?screenname=Penguin'

a new im window to the buddy with the name of Penguin should appear. Instead,
the application just returns without any sort of message and the window does not
appear. When attempting to run gaim-remote without the plugin loaded, the
application returns with

>gaim-remote uri 'aim:goim?screenname=Penguin'
Gaim not running (on session 0)
Is the "Remote Control" plugin loaded?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gain-1.3.1
2. enable the gaim-remote plugin
3. execute "gaim-remote uri 'aim:goim?screenname=Penguin'"

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
A new im window should open

Sorry for the delay, is this still happening with gaim-1.5.0?
Comment 2 Stephen Guerrera 2005-10-15 14:36:18 UTC
Sorry, I've been away from linux for a while. This problem still exists in 1.5.0
