Please include your:
emerge info
version of nautilus you are running
emerge -av nautilus ( so we can see what use flags you compiled it with)

Does nautilus crash after this? or is this simply a warning message?
Comment 2 Matteo Bertozzi 2005-07-02 22:06:18 UTC

I too am getting this message:

*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x000000000092db10 ***

...and Nautilus is frozen. If you move part of it offscreen, you wipe away the
colors, leaving a white box in a frame.

Comment 4 Stefano 2005-08-13 14:09:16 UTC
in an unrelated problem someone pointed out to me that:
export MALLOC_CHECK_=0

deactivates this check of the glibc. Try it as a workaround, but I'd definitely
wait for a fix.
Comment 5 Jeffrey Gardner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-13 14:46:12 UTC
I tried that but nautilus still crashed on me.
Comment 6 Stefano 2005-08-14 07:19:29 UTC

> I tried that but nautilus still crashed on me.

You tried that in a console and then opened nautilus from _that_ console ? It's
just for the single session you are in...
Comment 7 Saleem Abdulrasool (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-02 18:08:53 UTC
Cant reproduce on current stable. Can you still reproduce this problem with the current version of nautilus? (2.10.1-r1).
