gdesklets-core and gdeskcal are the only gdesklets packages that are currently installable. all the rest are package.masked.. it says removeing because of deprecated functionality but where are the new, non deprecate, ebuilds?? right at this momment gdesklets are not really supported by gentoo Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Actually they are all supported by gentoo. There are a couple things you can do to solve this problem: 1. Download and install desklets through the gdesklets shell. 2. Add "x11-plugins/desklet-sidecandy ~x86" (for example) to /etc/portage/package.keywords. Add all the ebuilds you want. 3. Put "~x86" in ACCEPT_KEYWORDS in /etc/make.conf. In the future, make sure you read when you emerge something - gdesklets-core tells you where to find ebuilds for desklets (in x11-plugins/desklet-*) after you finish installing it. The reason that they are all masked (not package.mask'ed) is because gdesklets-core is masked for the time being. Also, gdeskcal is not a gdesklet.
actualy, some of them are masked with package.mask. but anyway, i see now that some can allso be ~x86. My mistake. I didnt know you could install them with gdesklets-core, thanks.
