Ok, I'm really not sure where to start tracing this down. I've got a new Via machine, with the CLE266 chipset, and it uses the via unichrome drivers. I've got a ATI TV Wonder Pro (uses the cx88 drivers, works fine on another system with nvidia gfx drivers) as my input. Using xawtv, I just get a black screen, unless I pass the "-noxv-video" option. Just adding the x11 driver folk, since the unichrome driver is their doing, and I'm suspecting this is a bug in the X unichrome drivers, not xawtv.
This is unichrome drive junk. Not xawtv.
Zzzz... If you still have issues w/ current xf86-video-via ebuild, reopen this bug.
