Is your `uname` from busybox? What does `uname -s` return for you?

Comment 6 matoro archtester 2024-01-13 04:59:50 UTC
Can you provide the output from "printenv | sort | ansifilter"? If you have the environment variables _OS_SH or _OS set, I think they will override this detection.
Comment 7 marius 2024-01-13 05:02:15 UTC
 ▼ root~ printenv | sort | ansifilter | rg OS
OS=linux
Comment 8 matoro archtester 2024-01-13 05:04:17 UTC
(In reply to marius from comment #7)
>  ▼ root~ printenv | sort | ansifilter | rg OS
> OS=linux

Actually just reading now yes, OS would also override it. Please remove whatever is setting this environment variable.
Comment 9 marius 2024-01-13 05:16:13 UTC
Thank you very much, that fixed it. I used a different shell with the bare minimum ENV and the package emerged successfully.
Comment 10 matoro archtester 2024-01-13 05:17:09 UTC
I'm moving this back to open as I'm submitting a PR to no longer listen for this variable, you can already override the detection by setting _OS, but I think just plain OS is such a common variable it's just asking for trouble.

    mk/os.mk: don't use OS env var for overriding

    If you want to override the OS or OS-detect command you can still use
    _OS and _OS_SH, but OS is too common of an environment variable to
    listen for.
