It would be nicer if anyone was allowwed to re-open bugs that have been closed. They may have discovered a new case in which a bug occurs, but if they're not the original reporter or owner they won't be allowed to reopen it. Since they're allowed to open a new bug anyway, which is worse than reopening the bug, I don't think it's a security problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
This would cause a HUGE political problem, giving "regular users" the option of re-opening bugs that devs or others have closed. Believe me, I understand where you're coming from, but certain quick-on-the-trigger devs would flame you off the planet. It's something we can look into later once I upgrade our bugzilla, but not at this point. Regards, Jeffrey
Is now a good time? The best place for my data is in the original bug that it LOOKS like is fixed, but isn't because of a missed case. http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51817
