Description jason fuchs 2005-03-01 11:42:39 UTC
When using Gstreamer engine with Amarok, upon song change there is a long delay. Before and after delay times are set to 0. If crossfader is enabled, the song stops short, pauses for ~3 seconds, and then plays the next song. Crossfading does not work as expected, due to the pause on song change, which is also present with crossfader turned off. Using Arts or Xine engines do not produce any delay while chaning songs. (These engines don't however have crossfaders options so this doesn't make for an easy work around to get crossfading working.)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run amarok
2.Select gstreamer engine
3.play!

Actual Results:
There is a few second delay while changing songs.

gstreamer 0.8.9-r1, amarok 1.2.1, also had it under 1.0.2.

This is probably an amarok problem, we cannot do much for it.

I'm not sure it is Amarok, I see the same problem with other python media apps since I've updated my gstreamer.
