I can't install xlog-0.9.12 AND my old good installed xlog-0.9.7 does not work anymore!!!!! Xlog is stable?????

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync
2. emerge -up world
3. 4 of 4 xlog-0.9.12
4. see additional information

Actual Results:  
no working xlog. Not the new one 0.9.12 and the old one 0.9.7 also does not work
anymore.

Hmm, I get no such failures on three different stable systems.
There haven't been any changes in 0.9.7 or 0.9.12 other than ~x86->x86 for several months.

I'll take a look, thanks for the bug report.
In the meantime, you might try xlog-1.1 (still marked unstable)

This is a sandbox violation occurring when update-desktop-database tries to write in /usr/share/applications.  Use 'FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge -u xlog' to work around.  I'm not sure what the permanent solution should be.  Probably should be addressed in the update-mime-database tool.
