Description Andres Castillo 2002-09-15 00:19:15 UTC
After I uninstalled vmware using unmerge I noticed that at the next reboot the
vmware networking services were being started. I guess the only thing that's
needed is to add an rc-update del vmware to the ebuild.

did the /etc/init.d/vmware file still exist ?
Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-09-15 08:40:37 UTC
unmerge does not touch /etc as a matter of policy. So yes, unmerging it will not
remove the init.d script...

Wouldn't it be more elegant to notify users in some way what they have to remove
the script manually?
