Hello, This is my really first bug report, so if i made some mistake, please tell me as i am willing to learn about it. I have the stable version of dev-lang/ruby-2.6.6-r2 and i wanted to get also the unstable version: dev-lang/ruby-3.0.1. So i was asked to add the use flag "ruby_targets_ruby30" to dev-lang/ruby and some dependcies. When i finished it, i tried to emerge dev-lang/ruby-3.1.0 but i encountered this error: emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=dev-ruby/kpeg-1.1.0-r1[ruby_targets_ruby30(-)]". (dependency required by "dev-ruby/rdoc-6.3.0::gentoo[ruby_targets_ruby30]" [ebuild]) (dependency required by "dev-lang/ruby-3.0.1::gentoo[rdoc]" [ebuild]) (dependency required by "dev-lang/ruby" [argument]) I ran the command: eix dev-ruby/kpeg and i saw that this package does not support ruby30. Ok, so i checked once again it is not a bug. In the Gentoo Wiki, it says i have to add: -ruby_targets_ruby27 in /etc/portage/profile/use.stable.mask. So, sorry for the wasted time. Is there something i should do to cancel this bug request? Shiru

Yes, you will also need to unmask the USE flag for the version you want to use in testing. It's a bit of a gotcha and it works this way so that a stable profile works out of the box. I believe you should be able to close your own bugs, but I've done so now.
