Description Jacob Perkins 2002-02-19 18:04:12 UTC
Here's my output:
"libtool: link: cannot find the library
'/var/tmp/portage/ogle-0.8.2-r2/work/ogle-0.8.2/ogle/libmsgevents.la'

leaving directory '/var/tmp/portage/ogle-gui-0.8.2/work/ogle_gui-0.8.2/src'

leaving directory '/var/tmp/portage/ogle-gui-0.8.2/work/ogle_gui-0.8.2'

emerge aborting on /usr/portage/media-video/ogle-gui/ogle-gui-0.8.2.ebuild"

The distfile downloaded is named ogle_gui... while the ebuild is named
ogle-gui... and I think the only problems are with the namings within the
ebuild, but I could be wrong.

I cannot reproduce this problem at all... I've tried unmerging both, clearing
/var/tmp/portage, merging both, unmerging ogle-gui, clearning /var/tmp/portage,
and remerging ogle-gui and it built fine for me. I also recently did a complete
reinstall and it built fine for me then.

What version of libtool are you using?
Comment 2 Jacob Perkins 2002-02-19 23:07:02 UTC
Well, after deleting and unmerging ogle, then emerging both, the problem has
disappeared, though it has happened before.
