This is a library for converting between kanjis encodings. Sylpheed uses it, and thus it should be added in the DEPEND list in Sylpheed's ebuild.

The attached ebuild does not install the default.conf where it should. I'll upload a new one soon.
Freeze is over!!!! Added to cvs. I made the changes for default.conf location (to /etc/libjconv). Thanks for the ebuild Not 100% sure what you mean by Sylpheed uses it. Does it always use it? or is it an option? I don't use Sylpheed so I have no idea. Let me know and I'll change Sylpheed ebuild too. Stuart Bouyer
Created attachment 5139 [details] app-i18n/jconv-2.9 In fact, Sylpheed uses by default it if it's present. It adds more encodings support and a better i18n support in general. Here's the new ebuild. I renamed it to jconv since it comes with a jconv binary. It's part of my m17n tree at http://gentoo.m17n.free.fr/ but I don't have much time now to work on it and it can stay in app-i18n/ for now. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, problems with ISP change over. I think that the ebuild name should stay as libjconv, even though there is a jconv binary, because that is the name the author gives the package. This will make it easier for updating later also. I'll have a look at the sylpheed ebuild and talk to the maintainer, but I will probably make sylpheed depend on libjconv only if the user has the cjk in USE, as some people are upset by having ebuild depend on libraries they feel are unnecessary.
