Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-15 16:04:17 UTC
libcaca use flag is reported to be a local flag, but it seems to be used by different packages:

/usr/portage/profiles/use.local.desc:media-libs/libsdl:libcaca - Add support for colored ASCII-art graphics
/usr/portage/profiles/use.local.desc:media-video/mplayer:libcaca - Enables libcaca support, colored ASCII-art graphics

And also vlc and xine needs it (see bug #72338 for vlc, I'm still figuring out how to disable it for sure on xine).
Maybe others if, as for vlc, it was replaced by aalib flag instead.

HTH, Diego
