Description George Kraev 2004-12-15 15:34:29 UTC
I found this bug when I tried to install frozen-bubble. The game depends on perl SDL and the dependancy is listed. When I tried installing frozen bubble it picked up the dependancy correctly and installed perl SDL however the configure script in frozen bubble ( I suppose the same thing happens in any other application depending on perl SDL) said that perl SDL cannot be found installed on the system. I repeated the emerge procedure of perl SDL a couple of time with no change. I manually installed perl SDL and the ebuild for frozen bubble worked just fine so this is not a frozen bubble problem.

Reproducible: Always

Could you please provide a diff file of what you changed in the ebuild, to save time? Thanks

Well I didn't change anything int he ebuild. I simply installed the library from the source from CPAN. I guess I could create a new ebuild and post the diff after that but I only recently switched to gentoo and I am not really that familiar with the pkg manager. I'll look into it tomorrow and post the diff after that.

re-open with `emerge info` and the actual error message you saw
