Bug 7438 – Pan 0.13.0 crashing when trying to post (Gentoo 1.4)

I'm running the Gentoo 1.4 beta, and have emerged Pan-0.13.0.  Everything seems
to be fine until I click the post button, which causes Pan to immediately crash.
 No error messages are given, the program just exits out.  

This is a gcc 3.2 based system using only "-march=i686 -O3", no other optimizations.

I have reverted back to pan-0.11.4 and everything is working properly.  I have
not tried any of the 12.x series.

Is this a known issue with gcc 3.2 based systems?  Is it a pan issue or a gentoo
issue?  Can anyone else replicate this problem?

I can replicate the fault. I can also crash pan just by a click in the mesage
body on the body tab.

I made an entry on the pan buglist...

does this problem still exist with the newest version of pan 0.13.2 or with the
newest ver thats in portage at this time 0.13.1
