Gentoo ~arch move to gnome 3.36 recently. When I login with wayland, I notice that the language icon is missing in taskbar and I am no longer able to swich to other IMEs using keyboard shortcut. I ran "ps aux | grep ibus" and could see ibus-daemon was up and running. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.upgrade to GNOME 3.36 2.Switch to wayland and login Actual Results: The language icon does not appear in taskbar, and I could not switch IME using keyboard shortcut, although the ibus-daemon process is up and running Expected Results: IBUS starts correctly and user can switch IME using keyboard shortcut.
