Issue: sys-boot/syslinux does not respect CFLAGS.
Discovered on: amd64 (internal ref: tinderbox)

NOTE:
To reproduce this issue you may want to add "-frecord-gcc-switches" to CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS/FFLAGS/FCFLAGS. If this is not something about c/c++ context see this bug as an hint to hide the QA warning (with QA_FLAGS_IGNORED) where is not possible to respect CFLAGS.

Comment 2 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2020-07-19 17:19:01 UTC
sys-boot/syslinux has the custom-cflags USE flag for this purpose (but it is discouraged).
Comment 3 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2021-10-17 07:13:34 UTC
tinderbox has reproduced this issue with version 6.04_pre1-r2 - Updating summary.
Comment 4 Mike Gilbert gentoo-dev 2022-05-30 20:11:56 UTC
In 6.04_pre3, I set QA_FLAGS_IGNORED="*".
