This package is unmaintained and broken with Python 3.7. The only revdeps are rst2pdf (last rited) and img2pdf (optional dep, upstream is working towards removing it). The Debian maintainer just queued it for removal as well.

I have a cleaned up repo and ebuild for this, mainly because it's still used by rst2pdf (they did swap out their crypto dep, but they still use pdfrw). It has all of the last few "fixes" and test updates/skips and is CI-clean in github across python 3_6..9 so I guess I'm now the upstream maintenance guy. Also I take any reasonable patches...
