Description David Michael 2020-03-27 15:02:07 UTC
I have to install libaom from Git since its last tag is from a couple years ago and it no longer builds (bug #681064). Since that tag, they dropped alpha channel definitions which VLC is trying to use. VLC fixed it upstream a few weeks ago, so can that fix be backported?

https://github.com/videolan/vlc/commit/595878cddd1b9b2ba6706a3782011e9228c64876

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge vlc # with the libaom live ebuild installed

Actual Results:
The build fails from AOM_IMG_FMT_444A not being defined.

Expected Results:
The build should succeed.

Fix is included in vlc-3.0.10 which is now available in Gentoo repository.
